And who/what is -=WVG=- Raffles?
Glad you asked! Since telling no one doesn't help the purpose of why I set up the thing in the first place!
So what is it for?
Steam is a wonderful platform that allows the gifting of games and is known for having many a sale year round. It made sense to set up a just about completely empty account to better facilitate that feature. The gifting of games as Raffle Prizes, that is. The WVG community gives back to other members when they can, in whatever form it ends up being. This is another route to be taken.
So... now what?
To make it easier to gift you that game you may win at the next LAN, friend up -=WVG=- Raffles! Once you are friended, you can see what games are in the Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.. It's set to Friends only. But best of all, if you feel like you want to chip in a few dollars and buy a few more games to add to the mix, you can directly gift it to -=WVG=- Raffles even if you already own the game. And perhaps look through what's there and check out ahead of the LAN what you may want to snag if you win!
Which leaves me as currently being the caretaker of the account until otherwise notified.
Anyways, I'm off to bed. Laters!
Month or two back, realized I had built up a collection of unused Humble Bundle keys. So, took the time to whip together a Google Doc that shows what is in Raffle's inventory plus the HB keys and links to the games on Steam or Origin. Added a link to the Doc in the original post at the top.
Also, could someone sticky this thread? I keep having to find it again months later. ^_^
